Terms of Use
Vezio is a financial technology company, not a bank. Please read these terms. By using our website, joining the early access list or using Vezio, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Vezio is built and operated by Reevatech Solutions & Consulting Ltd ("Vezio", "we", "us"), a company registered in Nigeria with registration number [RC number] and registered office at [registered address]. You can reach us at hello@vezio.ng.
Vezio is a financial technology company. It is not a bank. Naira wallets are held with Safe Haven Microfinance Bank, which is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). Foreign currency accounts are provided by regulated payment partners, subject to verification.
2. Who can use Vezio
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Vezio's financial services. We may refuse or limit access where we cannot verify who you are, or where the law or our partners' requirements do not allow us to serve you.
3. Early access
Vezio is launching soon. If you join the early access list with your phone number, you agree that we may contact you about the launch by SMS, call or messaging app. Joining the list does not guarantee access, a launch date, or any particular feature, and it does not create an account. You can ask us to remove you at any time by emailing hello@vezio.ng.
4. Your Vezio account
- Verification. To open and keep an account you must complete identity verification. For a dollar account this includes a verified Vezio account, a valid international passport and a recent utility bill or bank statement in your name. We and our partners may ask for more information at any time.
- Accurate information. You must give true, complete and current information and tell us promptly if it changes.
- One person, one account. Your account is for you only. You must not let anyone else use it, or open accounts for others, unless we agree in writing.
- Accounts in your name. Foreign currency account details issued to you are for receiving your own payments and must not be used to receive funds on behalf of other people.
5. What Vezio provides
Depending on what is available to you, Vezio lets you:
- receive USD (by ACH, wire and SWIFT), EUR (by SEPA) and GBP (by Faster Payments) into accounts in your name, and hold each currency in its own balance;
- convert between currencies, including to naira, when you choose, after seeing the rate;
- spend with a Vezio dollar card;
- pay airtime, data, light, cable TV, internet, WAEC and JAMB, send naira to any bank, and turn airtime to cash.
Some services depend on our partners and may change, be limited, or be unavailable in some cases. Payments you receive may be delayed or returned where the sender's bank, a partner, or the law requires.
6. The dollar card
You can fund your Vezio dollar card from your dollar balance or from naira. You can freeze it in one tap. Card details stay hidden until you enter your PIN. The card is issued and processed with our regulated partners and is also subject to their terms, which we will show you when you apply. Merchants, networks and issuers decide whether to accept a payment, and we cannot guarantee that every merchant or subscription will work.
7. Fees and exchange rates
Opening an account is free. Every fee and rate is shown before you confirm a transaction, and by confirming you agree to it. Exchange rates move. The rate shown to you at the time you confirm is the rate that applies. Our current fees will be listed in the app and on our website.
8. Security and your PIN
No payment leaves your account without your PIN. You must keep your PIN, passwords, device and card details secret and secure, and must never share them, including with someone claiming to be from Vezio. We will never ask you for your PIN. Tell us immediately at hello@vezio.ng if you lose your device, or suspect your account, PIN or card has been compromised. You can freeze your card in the app at any time. We turn on alerts for payments in and out of your account, and you should check them and tell us about anything you do not recognise.
9. Acceptable use
You must not use Vezio to:
- break any law, including laws on fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions and tax;
- receive, hold or move money that comes from crime, or that you cannot explain;
- pretend to be someone else, or use false or stolen documents;
- pay for goods, services or content that are illegal, or that our partners or card networks prohibit;
- interfere with, probe, copy, reverse engineer or overload our systems, or attempt to get around our security;
- use bots, scraping or automated means against our website or app without our written permission.
We and our partners are required to monitor accounts and to report suspicious activity to the authorities. We may do so without telling you where the law allows or requires.
10. Suspension and closure
We may delay, hold, refuse or reverse a transaction, or suspend, restrict or close your account, if we reasonably believe it is needed to follow the law or a regulator's instruction, to protect you or us from fraud or loss, if you break these terms, or if a partner requires it. Where the law allows, we will tell you why. You can close your account at any time by contacting us, once any balance has been withdrawn and any amounts you owe have been settled. Closing an account does not affect rights and obligations that already exist, and we may keep records as the law requires.
11. Partners and third parties
Vezio works with licensed and regulated partners, including Safe Haven Microfinance Bank for naira wallets. Some features rely on third-party services such as banks, payment networks, identity verification and telecom and utility providers. We are not responsible for the acts, failures or terms of those third parties, but we will take reasonable care in choosing them. Links to other sites are for convenience only.
12. Our intellectual property
The Vezio name, logo, website, app and content belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use Vezio as intended. You must not copy, modify, sell or build on them without our written permission.
13. Liability
We provide the website and services with reasonable care and skill, but they may sometimes be interrupted or contain errors, and we do not promise they will always be available or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as network or partner outages, delays by banks or payment networks, changes in exchange rates, or your failure to keep your PIN and device secure.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including for fraud, or for any rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection and financial services law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when our services, partners or the law change. We will post the new version on this page with a new "last updated" date, and for important changes we will give you reasonable notice. If you keep using Vezio after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using Vezio and close your account.
15. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria will have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law gives you a right to go elsewhere.
If you have a complaint, email hello@vezio.ng and tell us what happened. We will acknowledge it and work to resolve it quickly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also contact the Central Bank of Nigeria's consumer protection channels.
